Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare. It is a system of diagnosis and treatment focusing on the bones, joints, muscles and connective tissue, and the way these connect to the whole body.
For the last 15 years osteopath Neil Allardyce has been working at the Rolleston Osteopathic Clinic (239, Lowes Road - opposite Brookside Park). He is highly trained in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Through an understanding of the body’s control systems, how they integrate and function, Neil is able to look at the person as an entity when assessing their needs. He individualises treatments based on a person's lifestyle, targeting areas that need specific improvement. Neil utilises a range of gentle and more traditional osteopathic techniques to restore function to the body, allowing it to adapt and make changes. In addition to his Osteopathy background, Neil is also trained in Pilates and offers cranial osteopathy, visceral techniques and acupuncture (TCM / Western trained). Neil is one of only three Osteopaths in Christchurch with this dual modality. The Rolleston Osteopathic Clinic is both ACC accredited and insurance approved. Osteopathy is not only for adults, but applies to babies, mothers and the ageing.
